Start with a performance evaluation

Every athlete begins with an evaluation. We assess speed, strength, power, and movement quality to build the right training plan from day one. This assessment includes speed testing, jump analysis, strength screening, and movement evaluation. It allows us to establish a performance baseline and build an individualized training plan based on your athlete’s needs.

Our Assessment Process

1. Athlete Questionnaire

We begin with a short questionnaire to understand:

  • Sport and position

  • Training history

  • Performance goals

  • Current weekly schedule

This allows us to individualize training around competition demands, training experience, and recovery needs.

2. Warm-Up & Movement Prep

Athletes go through a structured warm-up to prepare for testing and allow us to observe movement quality and coordination.

3. Jump & Reactive Strength Testing

We use a jump mat system to assess:

  • Vertical jump

  • Reactive strength

  • Explosive power

This shows us how much explosive power your athlete currently has and how efficiently they move. It helps us determine what type of training will help them improve the fastest.

4. Sprint & Change of Direction Testing

Using laser timing gates, we measure:

  • Acceleration

  • Top speed

  • Change of direction ability

This gives us precise data so we can help your athlete get faster in a measurable way.

5. Horizontal Power Testing

We perform broad jump and triple jump testing to evaluate lower-body horizontal power and symmetry

This helps us build a complete athletic profile for your athlete.

6. Results & Personalized Plan

After testing, we review results in-office with you and your athlete and discuss:

  • Strengths and limitations

  • Recommended training frequency

  • Scheduling around sport commitments

  • The best program option moving forward

We review the results together and recommend a training plan based on your athlete’s goals, testing results, and weekly schedule. Our goal is to give them the right amount of training — not too little, not too much — so they can improve while recovering properly.

Why WE ASSESS and Don’t Guess

Most programs start with workouts. We start with data.

Testing creates a clear baseline, allows us to track measurable progress, and ensures each athlete is placed in the right level of training from the beginning.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Plan for approximately 60 minutes.

The testing portion takes about 45 minutes, followed by a short consultation to review results and discuss the best training plan moving forward.

  • Yes. Please have your athlete wear athletic clothing and running shoes.

We also recommend bringing a water bottle.

  • No. There is no obligation to enroll.

The purpose of the evaluation is to determine whether our training environment is the right fit. We understand that our program isn’t for everyone, and if we feel it may not be the best fit for your athlete, we will let you know.

Our goal is alignment, not pressure.

  • No problem. We just ask that you provide at least 6 hours’ notice.

This allows us to respect our coaches’ time and offer the appointment to another athlete if needed.

  • We require a card on file to reserve your appointment time.

Your card will not be charged at the time of booking.

It is only used if the appointment is missed or canceled with less than 6 hours’ notice, in accordance with our booking policy.

Just like a hotel holds a card for incidentals, this ensures we can respect our coaches’ time and maintain scheduling integrity for all athletes.
